In early 2018, CELP was awarded a seed grant through the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. This critical investment in our work is allowing us to pay for infrastructural expenses such as the cost to host and maintain our website, printing, and fees related to incorporation. They are also serving as our fiscal sponsor this year as we seek 501(c)3 status in our own right. Please click here or on their logo to the left to see the excellent work they do in supporting environmental organizations throughout our region.
In December 2016, the MIT/Harvard Coop made a generous donation via a "COOP Gives" grant to a fledgling nature program being developed by the Friends of Fresh Pond and the Haggerty Preschool (one of Cambridge's seven municipally-run preschools.) Although they did not sponsor the Cambridge Environmental Literacy Project directly, their initial investment helped to inspire CELP's creation, and we look forward to continued partnerships with them in the future.
