Why should kids learn outside?

From their overall health to their improved performance in school, children are repeatedly demonstrating how critical nature education is in the age of screen time and social media.

The importance of Cambridge trees

The Tree Canopy Project, led by GreenCambridge, the Tree Task Force, and the Cambridge Trees Advisory Committee, is using state-of-the-art technology to track the health and relative density of our city's street trees. Innovative software developed by MIT and other critical technology partners is helping us understand how the city can tackle our carbon footprint by planting - and protecting - these natural greenhouse warriors.

Nature goes to preschool

Some of the youngest students in Cambridge are exploring nature programs at Fresh Pond thanks to a generous grant from the MIT/Harvard COOP.
